History

From it’s beginning as a group of women who joined together in 1966 to help save the Douglas Entrance in Coral Gables from demolition, the Villagers, Inc. has a vast history. The organization has held many fundraising events to raise money for restoration and to raise public awareness of the needs and benefits of preservation. The Villagers also work cooperatively with other community organizations in the interest of educating, advocating, fundraising, and documenting for the restoration and preservation of historic sites in the Greater Miami area.
