Speaker: Nancy Leibman, author, City Commissioner, Miami Design Preservation League Executive Director, MiMo Biscayne Association Board member.  Nancy is best known for her tireless work with historic preservation for Miami Beach and City of Miami.  

Wednesday, January 19th, 2022, 12 Noon: 

“Historic Properties Pro & Cons”
Speaker: Hugh Ryan, President of Hugh A Ryan construction, specializing in historic preservation restorations.

Historic Windows
Speaker:  John R. Medina, a noted architect and designer specializing in historic preservation and president of John R Medina Architects and Associates.

This program will provide information about the impact of window design on historic buildings.

Wednesday, November 17th, 2021, 12 Noon

Impact of Sea Level Rise on Historic Places
Speaker:  Dr. Harold Wanless, University of Miami’s Professor and Chair of Department of Geological Sciences.

This program will provide information about the effects of sea level rise on Historic Districts and the need for adaptation strategies.

Wednesday, October 20th, 2021, 12 Noon: 

Restoration Before Demolition
Speaker:  Richard Heisenbottle, a noted architect and designer specializing in historic preservation and president of R.J. Heisenbottle Architects.

This program will provide information about the pros and cons of restoring a historic home versus demolishing it.
